Report on the May 6-8, 2020 ratification vote on the ­ emergency agreement between DC-37 Local 1503 and the Met Museum reached on May 2, 2020

First, a big thank you to all the members of Local 1503 for their tremendous response in a time of crisis.

A vote was conducted on May 6-8, 2020 to ratify the agreement reached between Local 1503 and the Museum extending pay with full benefits through at least July 2, 2020.

Due to the Covid-19 crisis, voting was conducted online. Notice of the vote was posted on the local website (Local1503.org) and on our Facebook and Twitter accounts. Each member received an email sent to their work email account as well as to the personal email address we had on file.

The email provided a link to a summary description and to the full text of the agreement as well as a link to a Mailchimp survey to enable the member to vote “Yes” to approve or “No” to disapprove of ratification.

325 votes were cast. The result was 318 in favor, 7 against.

The agreement is ratified.

The results of the vote will be posted on our associated Facebook and Twitter accounts.
