Gloves Without Ring

Security Officer Karen Sotolongo was selected to participate in the 2024 Spring Edition Big Apple Film Festival.

They will screen their film “Gloves without Ring” on Wednesday, May 22, at 7:30 PM at the Look Dine-In Cinemas in Theater #5.

Five Cuban female boxers are training in the hope of raising the name of their country high in this sport, but it is not allowed for females to compete professionally.

The Big Apple Film Festival is dedicated to showcasing and promoting the highest quality films from the New York City independent film community, as well as additional specially selected films from across the country and around the world. Additionally, the festival is proud to honor a variety of New York City based filmmakers, writers, actors and artists who have played an influential role in the growth of independent filmmaking in the Big Apple. Each season, BAFF presents awards in a various categories in filmmaking and screenwriting.
