Contract Extension Signed

Sisters and Brothers,

During these uncertain times it is always our priority to make sure Local 1503 is on firm footing.  As many of you may know, our contract with the Museum was scheduled to expire June 30, 2020. However, we are happy report that a contract extension has been signed and will remain in effect through July 31, 2020.

Meanwhile, conversations with the Met are ongoing and further extensions will be likely as plans for reopening are drawn up.

The text of the agreement is below:

“It is hereby agreed by and between the parties that: the collective bargaining agreement entered into by the parties on July 1, 2014 through June 30, 2020 shall continue in full force and effect until July 31, 2020, unless a successor agreement is reached between the parties.”
