Local 1503 Election, November 2024

 

 
We will be voting for the following positions:
  • President (1)
  • Chapter Vice Presidents:
    • Security (1)
    • Buildings(1)
    • Cloisters(1)
  • Recording Secretary (1)
  • Correspondence Secretary (1)
  • Executive Board (3)
  • Trustees (3)
  • Sergeant at Arms (1)
  • Delegates to DC 37 (4)
  • Delegates to NYC Central Labor Council (2)
  • Building Organizer (1)

Voting will be by secret ballot:

Monday, November 18, and Tuesday, November 19:7:30am to 10:00 am and 3:30 pm to 6:00 pm.
Thursday, November 21, 7:30 am to 10:00 am and 3:30 pm to 6:00 pm
 Friday, November 22, 7:30 am to 10:00 am.
 The counting of the votes is immediately after.

Location: Outside the locker room at the Main Building and in the breakroom at the Cloisters.

The vote count will be performed on Friday, November 22nd and results will be posted on the Local bulletin boards, the digital monitors, and the Facebook group. If a runoff is needed: It will be Monday, December 2, Tuesday, December 3, Thursday, December 5, and Friday, December 6. Time: 7:30 am to 10:00 am and 3:30 pm to 6:00 pm for all listed days, but Friday, December 6, is from 7:30 am to 10:00 am only. All voting will be in the exact locations as above, with the count done on Friday, December 6, immediately after voting.

Campaign posters: Posters should be dropped off at the union office or given to a union official for posting by the election committee on the bulletin boards.

 All candidates whose name is to appear on the ballot shall have the right to present an official observer of the candidate’s choosing.
They must be a member of the Federation and be in all places where ballots bearing the candidate’s name are to be cast or counted.
Each candidate may designate their observer. The same observer may be designated by more than one candidate for different nominated positions.
No candidate may act as their own observer or as an observer for any other candidate.
