Local 1503-member Security Officer Scott Lawson will participate in Bushwick Open Studios on Saturday, September 23rd, and Sunday, the 24th.

Scott Lawson commits to studying and revealing his subjects truly.

This commitment results in works of sensitive realism in which the subjects’ physical weight, interaction with light and shadow, and skillfully rendered expressions have a powerful presence.

Their influences include Rembrandt, Velasquez, Repin, Sargent, and Andrew Wyeth. He is fascinated by the way light and shadow describe the human form.

The studio is at 1027 Grand St.,#307, 3rd floor, Bushwick, Brooklyn.
